     On 3rd March 2015, vice president Walter Theodor Czarnetzki and Wilhelm-August Buckermann of Hochschule Esslingen University of Applied Sciences came to Sino-German Metal Eco City and selected location of Sino-German Dual University of Applied Sciences for investigation, discussing about the matters of cooperation in running college, accompanied by Yan Zhichan, Secretary of CPC Municipal Committee and Director of Municipal People's Congress.

     As a representative of higher vocational university of “dual-system” in Germany, Hochschule Esslingen University of Applied Sciences’ cooperation with Guangdong University of Technology to build up Hochschule Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, will be the first schooling project in Guangdong or even in China, which cooperates with foreign applied sciences university. Based on vocational education, Sino-German Dual University of Applied Sciences will aim at cultivating senior application-oriented technicians and management personnel, and supporting Sino-German Metal Eco City or even Chinese manufacturing industry with high-quality talents and intelligence security.

     On that day, the delegation deeply investigated Sino-German Metal Eco City to  learn about construction progress of the project, especially the selected location and programming of Sino-German Dual University of Applied Sciences. Yan Zhichan expressed that Jieyang would implement the important spirit of Zhu Xiaodan’s talk with the guests from Sino-German Dual University of Applied Sciences on 2nd March, centralizing the best resources, mobilizing all the possible forces, promoting the schooling project and try best to build up “dual-system” college, achieving the cooperation and development between both sides in fields of education and scientific research.

     Walter Theodor Czarnetzki and Wilhelm-August Buckermann highly praised the construction concept of Sino-German Metal Eco City, and appreciated the superior environment of the location of Sino-German Dual University of Applied Sciences, expressed that Hochschule Esslingen University of Applied Sciences would cherish this opportunity of cooperation, and take advantage of its strength is applied technology and practice, etc., and gradually explore more fields of cooperation, cultivating high-skilled technical personnel for Sino-German SMEs, promoting transformation and upgrading.

     During the trip in Jieyang, Walter Theodor Czarnetzki and Wilhelm-August Buckermann also visited the MEUJ (the Metal Enterprises Union of Jieyang) for communication, detaiedly discussing the matters of cooperation.
