Co-build a home for the SMEs of Sino-German cooperation

 

    From 19^th to 22^nd of September, a delegation led by Dieter Hundt, Former President of the Confederation of German Employers’ Association (BDA) visited Jieyang to investigate Sino-German Metal Eco City, who received the warm reception from Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jieyang Municipal Committee and Mayor of Municipal Government Chen Dong. Both sides had further discussions about co-building a home for the SMEs of Sino-German cooperation and reached the package cooperative intentions.

 

    Chen Dong pointed out, under the background of economic globalization, the cooperation space of Sino-German industry, especially of Sino-German SMEs was quite broad. Jieyang paid high attention to the cooperation with Germany and made efforts to construct Sino-German Metal Eco City into an important platform for Sino-German cooperation. Chen hoped that Mr. Hundt could support and help with the improvement of project planning from German point of view; meanwhile, full support could be given in the aspects of opening up the way of Sino-German SMEs cooperation, introducing the lighthouse-type projects, carrying out the human resources training, constructing the Sino-German cross-border e-commerce platform, establishing the Sino-German SMEs cooperation fund and etc., in order to enhance the cooperation system between Jieyang and Germany to co-build a home for the SMEs of Sino-German cooperation.

 

    Dieter Hundt highly appreciated that Sino-German Metal Eco City was an exciting project with remarkable and convincing construction effect. He expressed his wish of participating in its construction as a go-between for Sino-German SMEs cooperation, carrying out dual-system training for industrial workers and supporting the project with investment promotion in Germany and so on, to create cooperation opportunities for German and Chinese enterprises to achieve win-win development.

 

    During the visit, the delegation visited the plant building under construction and project exhibition hall, learned about the construction progress and the information of enterprises in the park, and made a special trip to plant trees of Sino-German friendship. The delegation also visited the MEUJ for further exchanges.

 

    Leaders attending the meeting were Deputy Mayors Zeng Ruiru and Zhang Shiyi, Member of municipal government leading Party group; leaders attending the activities were Executive Deputy Director of Jiedong District Lin Binghua and related leaders from ZhongDe Metal Group.
