    On the evening of May 27, German senior expertGerhard Ost, who provides services for Jieyang’s metal enterprises, was invited to give a lesson in the first term of training course for core talentsin Sino-German cooperation. Taught byprecepts and examples, the trainees had access to more professional and idiomatic German language and culture.
 

    Ost highly appreciates the training course in that the training course is designed reasonably and systematically which starts from pronunciation, daily expression, and then business etiquette. “With in-depth learning, the study of German will be more difficult, thus the design of the training course should arouse the interests of trainees and keep them to actively participate in the German study.”Ost thinks that German study not only is aimed for strengthening the communication in language, but also contributes to a better mutual understanding between Chinese and German people through language and culture.
 
   

    The trainees mainly included chairmen and salesmen of the enterprises. In the class, the trainees listened carefully and took notes, followedOstto learn pronunciation, and finally made simple dialogues. The trainees expressed that they understooddaily expression, business etiquette and German culture by learning, all of which laid a solid foundation for the future business exchanges with Germany. 
 

    In recent years, the transformation and upgrading of Jieyang’s industries has made a deep impression on Ost. Ost says that the transformation and upgrading of German enterprises would take a longer time while that inJieyang is of high speed due to the high attention and the support of the CPC municipal committee, the municipal government and relevant parties.

    When talking about Sino-German Metal Eco City, Ostspeaks highly of the planning, especially the concept of environment-friendly development. In the view of Ost, the development should not take place at the expense of environment, and productivity improvement and environmental enhancementcan co-exist. Through introducing German advanced technology, the production efficiency can be improved while the emissions can be reduced which are of great benefits to the environment. Under a good policy environment, it is in an urgent need for introducing talents to achieve development. Ost expressed that the establishment of the first national dual university of applied sciences is an important step in the talent introduction of Jieyang. During the construction of Sino-German Metal Eco City, we shouldnot only focus on introducing technological talents, but also pay attention to introducing highly qualified management personnel in commerce and finance to jointly promote the project construction.
 

    Ost expresses that he will continue to serve the metal enterprises of Jieyang to keep the exchanges between Jieynag’s enterprises and German enterprises going on smoothly. Meanwhile, Ost hopes that more people would attend German training course and try hard to become elites in the cooperation with Germany.
