    During Feb.24th to Mar.8th, senior experts from Spanish ASCAMM Technologic Centre and AIMME Metal-Processing Technology Institute Chico Roca and Francisco Bosch visited Jieyang for investigation.
 

    These days Chico Roca and Francisco Bosch have raced against time to visit more than 30 enterprises in Jieyang and to investigate the enterprises' quality management system, production process and technical requirements through the field study and discussion with the entrepreneurs. Chico Roca and Francisco Bosch highly appreciate the development achievements of the metal industry in Jieyang, and Sino-German Metal Eco-City project makes deep impression on them. They wish to promote the cooperation between China and Europe through Sino-German Metal Eco-City, finally accelerating the change of the metal manufacturing industry from low end to high end. 
 

    According to the introduction of Bai Zhidong of ZhongDe Institute of Metal Technology, ASCAMM Technologic Centre and AIMME Metal-Processing Technology Institute show great interest in the project of Sino-German Metal Eco-City, and they are to cooperate with ZhongDe Metal Group Co., Ltd. to co-construct a metal research center to provide service for the transformation and upgrading of Jieyang’s industry. Bai Zhidong expresses that he is moved by the professionalism and the professional dedication of the Spanish experts during the investigation in these days, and this activity lays a good foundation for the cooperation of both sides, which is of help to promote the construction of Sino-German Metal Eco-City.
 

    It is known that ASCAMM Technologic Centre was created in 1987 by the Catalan Association of Mould, and since 1997 it is an independent entity with the legal form of private. It owns first-class technology in the area of production technology, which can help enterprises increase the added value of products and provide enterprises with reference for improving the management and innovation level. AIMME Metal-Processing Technology Institute, founded in 1987, is a Spanish private non-profit making association, which is at present made up of more than 600 companies from the metal processing sector. It is devoted to the research and development of the process and the technological innovation in the production process of the metal industry, finally improving the competitiveness of the products.

    Bring European advanced technology to Jieyang
 

    “Sino-German Metal Eco-City is a good project which keeps pace with the world. It is committed to promoting the transformation and upgrading of Jieyang’s traditional industry with the help of foreign advanced technology. We hope further communicating with the local enterprises through this platform to seek a path to co-development and to achieve mutual benefits between China and Europe”. Senior expert of ASCAMM Chico Roca expressed when he was interviewed.
 

    “This is the first time that I have come to Jieyang and even China, and everything here makes a deep impression on me.” Chico Roca said excitedly, “I was amazed especially when I see Jieyang has such a promising project!” He wishes to conduct deeper and more extensive cooperation with ZhongDe Metal Group in the future, and then bring European advanced technology to Jieyang to help the local enterprises promote the transformation and development through co-constructing the technical center. “We hope that we can become a team with these senior experts in China, which is a rare opportunity for us.” Chico Roca looks forward to the cooperation with ZhongDe Metal Group Co., Ltd.

    After the investigation of the enterprises these days, Chico Roca was optimistic about the development prospect of the metal industry in Jieyang. He said that some larger metal enterprises in the local area are powerful and their products quality reach top international standard, which make him so excited. Some small and medium-sized enterprises desire to accelerate development to improve production efficiency and product quality with the help of foreign advanced technology, finally strengthening the core competitiveness of the enterprises. “We are willing to provide first-class technology for Jieyang’s enterprises and help their improvement in product design, equipment renewal, technological innovation and management model, finally improving the overall strength of the enterprises. We will actively create favorable conditions to realize the cooperation of both sides early.” Chico Roca told the reporter.
 

    Chico Roca is a senior expert of ASCAMM, Director of Research and Technological Development Area in Technological Center of ASCAMM Foundation, an industrial engineer of mechanical specialty, member of the Catalan Profeesional Association of Engineers, expert in management and execution of Research, Development and Technological Innovation projects in new products, tools and processes, mainly in plastic, metal and composites materials, as well as expert in design, simulation and manufacture molds and dies, and processing of thermoplastic injection molding, thermoset and sheet metal forming.

    Senior expert of AIMME Francisco Bosch: To provide technical support for the local enterprises

    Recently, senior expert of AIMME Francisco Bosch has an investigation in Jieyang. He highly appreciated the project of Sino-German Metal Eco-City when he was interviewed, and he thought that the project was of great significance in promoting the cooperation between China and Europe.
 

    “With the growing influence of China on the international stage, more and more European enterprises want to settle in China while Chinese enterprises need the technical support from European enterprises. So it is necessary to promote the cooperation between both sides, for it not only helps Chinese enterprises enhance competitiveness, but also promotes the development of European enterprises.” Francisco Bosch expressed. He thought that Sino-German Metal Eco-City was a bridge for promoting the cooperation of both sides, a platform of communication and cooperation for the enterprises of both sides.
 

    Francisco Bosch told the reporter that he found the development of Jieyang enterprises was beyond his expectation through the investigation of more than 30 enterprises in Jieyang these days. The overall development is good though something still should be improved, and the attention of most enterprises on the environmental protection makes deep impression on him. “We will review and sum up these research results carefully, and then submit a specific research report to superior departments, providing an effective reference for the cooperation with ZhongDe Metal Group Co., Ltd.” Francisco Bosch said.

    “We will make full use of our advantages to promote the transformation and upgrading of Jieyang’s metal industry by introducing advanced technology to help the enterprises improve product design capacity. We will provide different training for enterprises from different areas to improve the overall quality of the staff, and provide professional guidance for enterprises in the inspection of the raw materials and the products.” Francisco Bosch has confidence in the cooperation with ZhongDe Metal Group.
 

    Ph.D.Francisco Bosch is a senior expert of AIMME, head of the Chemical Technologies Unit at AIMME, expert in Environmental Technologies and Chemical Technologies in metal-mechanical industry. He participates and coordinates in more than 30 research and development projects specially in process optimization, wastewater treatment and its recycling, waste minimization and clean production. He worked as an environmental assistant in companies, implementing environmental management systems (ISO 14001, EMAS, etc.), clean technologies and waste recycling measures, with a strong focus on the surface treatment activities, but also in chemical industry, machining, metal processing and renewables.
