Yesterday afternoon, Governor Zhu Xiaodan met with the partners in the project of Sino-German Metal Eco-City, CEO of RSBK GmbH Rudolf Scharping, President of HochschuleDarmstadt University of Applied Sciences Prof. Dr. Ralph Stengler and the delegation.

    Zhu Xiaodan expresses that the construction of Sino-German Metal Eco-City has started comprehensively, and it has gone on smoothly thanks to the efforts of Scharping and other German friends in the project construction. Zhu points out that Sino-German Metal Eco-City will serve as a model for the transformation and upgrading of the traditional industry in eastern Guangdong, western Guangdong, northern Guangdong and even in the whole province. It will be of great help to Guangdong for controlling the heavy metal pollution in the traditional metal industry, developing modern vocational and technical education, furthering the market-oriented reform and introducing German advanced management concepts. Governor Zhu hopes that both sides would promote the construction of Sino-German Metal Eco-City with higher standard and quality and carry out the cooperation projects in which agreements have been reached in order to help Guangdong to seek a path to success in which the international cooperation promotes the transformation and upgrading. He expects that with joint effort this project can be developed not only as the model of deeper cooperation between Guangdong and Germany, but also as the important cooperation project between both countries.

    Rudolf Scharping introduces the construction progress of Sino-German Metal Eco-City to Governor Zhu, expressing that he will spare no effort to promote the work of planning and construction together with Guangdong and Jieyang government in the hope of setting up Sino-German Metal Eco-City as a platform for introducing more German enterprises into Guangdong. In the meantime, he will introduce more German advanced technologies and management experience to help Jieyang enterprises improve market competition and conduct broader exchanges and cooperation between Germany and Guangdong through Sino-German Metal Eco-City.
