After the deputy party secretary and mayor of Jieyang Chen Dong concludes his visit to Europe with Jieyang economic and trade delegation, on August 7^th, Chen received the invitation from German Consulate General in Guangzhou to have friendly exchanges with consul general Stefan Gallon and consul Katrin Buchta, establishing a liaison system to deepen the bilateral cooperation.

    Mayor Chen Dong highly appreciates German Consulate General’s high attention to the project of ZhongDe Metal Eco-City and its important role in China-Germany cooperation. Reviewing the achievements during the visit to Germany, he points out, Jieyang metal enterprises have reached cooperative agreements with many German high-end industrial associations, enterprises, scientific research and educational organizations in the fields of scientific R&D, vocational education, talents’ introduction, management in the industrial park and etc. Bilateral contacts increase in frequency as the relationship is as close as relatives. Chen hopes that German Consulate General would keep on the introduction about Jieyang for German scientific research institutes, enterprises and talents to encourage them to come to stay in Jieyang and promote the development of ZhongDe Metal Eco-City.

    Consul general Stefan Gallon extends his warm welcome to the mayor of Jieyang Chen Dong. Stefan Gallon highly appreciates the demonstrative role of ZhongDe Metal Eco-City and agrees with the introduction of Jieyang and the coordination with SES about the assignment of German experts, and he makes an active response to the assistance in the communication and cooperation between Chinese and German enterprises. Moreover, consul general confirms to visit Jieyang in the following week on August 14^th to 15^th for the investigation in ZhongDe Metal Eco-City.
