Following the construction of Surface Treatment Eco-Industrial Park and Chinese-German Innovation Platform in Metal Industry, again here comes another great and happy event. On 30^th, July, a groundbreaking ceremony of road engineering in ZhongDe Metal Eco-City was hold in the middle of ZhongDe Road planned. Jieyang municipal party secretary Chen Luping announced the construction of main roads in ZhongDe Metal Eco-City formally started.

    The groundbreaking ceremony is chaired by Wu Pinghe, party secretary of Jiedong District. Deputy mayor of Jieyang Chen Chengmin made a speech in the ceremony, reviewing the achievements in ZhongDe Metal Eco-City since last year, meanwhile wishing the unit undertaking the project a well organization and an accelerative progress under the premise of ensuring the project quality, to ensure roads in Eco-City to be an engineering of good quality, safety and efficiency. Afterwards, Jieyang municipal party secretary Chen Luping officially announced the beginning of the construction.  

    Main roads in the construction are Zhongxin Road running east-west and Chengxi Road running south-north, which are the traffic backbone in the planning area of ZhongDe Metal Eco-City, connecting Shantou-Meizhou Expressway and Provincial Road Line 335, accelerating the connection with Jieyang downtown, Chaozhou, Shantou, Airport Economic Area and so on.

    Two main roads are 13 km in total length, with a total investment of RMB 2 billion, planned to be constructed with a standard of urban arterial roads, with two-way six-lane and a speed at 60km/h. The total length in the first-phase construction of the project is 3.45 km, with a planning investment of RMB 584 million, expected to be finished in the fist half of next year. The construction of the main roads has great significance for expanding the construction frame, improving the investment environment and enhancing the location advantage of ZhongDe Metal Eco-City.

    Leaders attending the ceremony are from People’s Government of Jiedong District, related Jieyang departments under Jieyang City, Guangdong Province and Central Committee, who headed for the construction headquarter of ZhongDe Metal Eco-City to hold a meeting on site and watch the advertising video of ZhongDe Metal Eco-City. Party secretary of Jiedong District Wu Pinghe in the meeting says that Jiedong governors have full confidence in the prospect of Metal Eco-City and will fully support the construction.
