As China-Germany cooperation is growing in maturity, the cooperation between Chinese and German enterprises goes on well. On the afternoon of July 11^th, 2013，Rudolf Scharping, as former German defense minister, former chairman of Social Democratic Party, and CEO of RSBK GmbH, visited Jieyang again for a new discussion with the Metal Enterprises Union of Jieyang (MEUJ) to further achieve more cooperation results. People also attending the meeting are mayor of Jieyang Chen Dong, president of MEUJ Wu Kedong, executive president of MEUJ Lin Zhongwei, senior consultant Cao Baijun, entrepreneurs in metal industry Lin Xiaoping, Sun Genghao, Huang Liebiao, Zhou Kailian, Zhou Chaokai and so on.

    In the meeting, Scharping summed up the cooperative achievements both sides made in the early stage, and shared the information that a consensus was reached in aspect of wastewater treatment by ZhongDe Metal Eco-City and TU-Darmstadt’s IWAR-Institute. In future IWAR-Institute will promote and carry out the German advanced wastewater treatment system in ZhongDe Metal Eco-City, constructing a really ecological industrial park.The formal agreement signature with TU-Darmstadt will be arranged in late July during a visit of the MEUJ delegation to Germany.

    Mr. Scharping defined five fields of cooperation between Germany and Jieyang, which are professional talents, equipments & technology, design and R&D, trade, joint venture, for the purpose of promoting production technology and product quality in Jieyang, constructing ZhongDe Metal Eco-City as a masterpiece of China-Germany cooperation and the destination for German enterprises entering China. Scharping also promised to assist the MEUJ in setting up a German office for the convenience of Jieyang entrepreneurs’ regular investigation in Germany in future.

    Mayor of Jieyang Chen Dong looks forward to the visit of Germany in late July, and expresses his nine pieces of wishes and requests on the substantial cooperation of both sides. Chen encourages Jieyang entrepreneurs to be patient, according to five cooperative fields of Mr. Scharping’s proposition and Jieyang enterprises’ own cooperative intention, to carry out step by step using three to five years. The China-Germany cooperative cause is sure to be bigger to achieve a greater development for Jieyang enterprises.
