On the morning of April 24th, Mr. Martin Dulig, member of the SPD Presidium, Saxong SPD regional chairman and leader of the party bloc in the Saxong state parliament, and German SPD delegation visited and investigated MEUJ (the Metal Enterprises Union of Jieyang). The German delegation met with Mai Yanhou, the mayor assistant of Jieyang, Lin Binghua, the vice director of Jiedong district, Wu Kedong, the president of MEUJ, Cao Baijun, the senior consultant of MEUJ, and Jiang Zengbin, the general manager of Guangdong ZhongDe Dual Vocational Training Co., Ltd. During the meeting, both sides have exchanged ideas courteously on exploring the new way of combining industry and education, building up high-skilled human resource platform for metal industry, accelerating the transformation and upgrading of metal enterprises and introducing German dual vocational training system and human resources.

      The Mayor Assistant Mai Yanhou extended warm welcome to Mr. Dulig and the delegation. After the briefing on China-Germany Metal Eco-City planning, both sides have a further knowledge about the general situation of the Metal Eco-City. Meanwhile, Mr. Dulig introduced German industry policy on product quality, education system, infrastructure and energy consumption, and the experiences and problems that the German Entrepreneurs have in Taicang, Jiangsu province. Mr. Dulig also hoped to conduct cooperation on education training and product quality equally and learn from each other for realizing the blueprint of China-Germany Metal Eco-City.

      Besides, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on creating investment environment attracting German entrepreneurs, the cooperation on energy saving and waste recycling, attracting and retaining talents, and the cooperation between China and Germany labor unions.

      ‘With the instruction of Germany and the joint efforts of both sides, we believe the development of China-Germany Metal Eco-City would be successful. We hope that China-Germany Metal Eco-City could be a model of China-Germany trade cooperation.’ Mai Yanhou,the mayor assistant of Jieyang, concluded.

       In the afternoon, Mr. Dulig and the delegation visited the construction site of China-Germany Metal Eco-City and China-Germany University of Technology.
