On the afternoon of April 10th, the delegation of MEUJ headed by the mayor Chen Dong held talks in Beijing with the delegation of Christian Democratic Union entrepreneurs headed by Mr. Philipp Missfelder, member of the presidium of Christian Democratic Union, foreign policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in the Bundestag and president of the German Youth League.

       The mayor Chen Dong extended his warm welcome to the delegation of German entrepreneurs on their visit to China and deep appreciation to Missfelder for his outstanding contribution to China-Germany cooperation and friendship. The mayor Chen Dong said that Germany is a country with well-developed industries and advanced science and technology, whose innovative initiatives and successful experience on circular economy, ecological and environmental protection and urban construction deserved studying and learning from it. After introducing the basic information of Jieyang, the progress of Zhongde Metal Eco-City, Zhongde University of Technoly, Jieyang Institute of Metal Research, Jieyang Industry Design Institute and the brand promotion platform, the mayor Chen Dong invited Missfelder to visit Jieyang with his delegation on further cooperation. Missfelder expressed his appreciation on the warm reception of the mayor Chen Dong, and said that he was impressed by his visiting to China for many times. After hearing the introduction of Zhongde Metal Eco-City by the mayor Chen Dong, Missfelder said that Jieyang had a good metal industry foundation and hoped that the two sides can cooperate on the construction of Zhongde Metal Eco-City. Meanwhile, he expressed his thanks to the invitation of visiting Jieyang by the mayor Chen Dong. He said that he would visit Jieyang with his delegation and further promote the in-depth cooperation between Chinese and German enterprises.

       The mayor Chen Dong and Mr. Missfelder exchanged presents after the meeting. The entrepreneurs from both delegations attended a dinner party and exchanged in-depth views with each other.
