In May 2014, mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereitand president of the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Berlin Eric Schweitzer led a delegation consisting of German businessmen to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of Sino-German Resources Regeneration Base and to witness the signing of three new cooperation agreements in Sino-German Metal EcoCity.

Substanzwerk GmbH, a famous enterprise managementcompanyin Europe,successfully set up a subsidiary company in Sino-German Metal EcoCity.

 

April, 2014

vice secretary of Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPC, director of Committee for Social Affairs of Guangdong Province Ma Xingrui visited the Metal Enterprises Union of Jieyang for investigation. Ma Xingruifully affirms the concept of environmental protection and the positioning of international development of Sino-German Metal EcoCity, and he expresses that he will fully support the project construction.

Governor Zhu Xiaodan met with CEO of ALBA Group Dr. Axel Schweitzerin Guangzhou. Both sides reached a consensus to create the project of Sino-German Metal Eco City as a model in China.

Witnessed by Chinese President Xi Jinping and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, an agreement on Sino-German Resources Regeneration Base was signed amongJieyang municipal government, ALBA Group andGRAM. Moreover, a representative office of the Metal Enterprises Union of Jieyang in Munichwas officially established.

Governor of Guangdong Province Zhu Xiaodan visited Sino-German Metal Eco City for investigating the construction of the project and fully affirmed the development mode of green economy in the park and the achievements of the cooperation with Germany.

Anunveiling ceremony of Party Branch and Youth League Branch of ZhongDe Metal Group was held, marking the start of the party building of Jieyang’snewly industrial cluster. The project of Sino-German Metal Eco City stepped into a new era in party building.

The construction commencement ceremony of three German enterprises was held in Sino-German Metal EcoCity, which marked a formal stage of substantial construction of the cooperation projects between China and Germany.

Chief representative of the UNIDO China OfficeEdward Clarence Smith visited Jieyang for investigation about co-constructing a demonstration area of green industry. Deputy Secretary of Jieyang Municipal Party Committee, MayorChen Dong and Edward Clarence Smith had a deep discussion and worked outthe detailed rules.

Guangzhou New Silk Road Human Resource Co., Ltd (NSR), the subsidiary company of ZhongDe Metal Group Co., Ltd, is the general agency of the SES small and medium-sized enterprise supporting project, and the partner of RKWC. “Reform Promotes Transformation, Innovation Arouses Vigor—A Symposium on the innovation & development of Sino-German Metal Eco City, guided by the spirit of the Third Plenary Session” was held in Jieyang, and vice secretary of Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPC, governor Zhu Xiaodan and other leaders at home and abroad attended the symposium.

Guangzhou New Silk Road Human Resource Co., Ltd（NSR），the subsidiary company of ZhongDe Metal Group Co., Ltd, was established with the great support of provincial government, municipal government, ZhongDe Metal Group and Sino-German Dual University of Applied Sciences. NSR will focus on introducing European high-end talents, and NSR’sestablishment will strongly promote the specialization and standardization of the foreign high-end talents introduction.

Mayor of Jieyang City Chen Dong led a delegation to visit Michael Clauss, new German Ambassador to China, further discussing the cooperation in the project of Sino-German Metal Eco City to further promote the cooperation between China and Germany.

Mayor Chen Dong led a delegation to visit the UNIDO and had deep discussion with chief representative of the UNIDO Edward Clarence Smith and project coordinator Ma Jian, reaching a series of consensuses.

A delegation of German entrepreneurs led by CEO of RSBK GmbH Rudolf Scharping visited Jieyang and signed agreements on the cooperative projects of Sino-German Metal Eco City.

After the opening ceremony of the office of Sino-German Metal Eco City in Guangzhou, the signing ceremony for a series of projects of Sino-German Metal Eco City was held in Guangzhou.

2013 International Consultative Conference on the Future Economic Development of Guangdong Province held a signing ceremony of the cooperative projects, and three of nine cooperative projects settled in Jieyang.

A business delegation of ZhongDe Metal Group organized by the MEUJ visited Germany, France, and Spain in Europe.

Representatives from HochschuleDarmstadt University of Applied Sciences visited Jieyang for deeper cooperation. The MEUJ and IWAR Institute of TU-Darmstadt University of Technology signed a cooperation agreement on the feasibility study report of SEMIZENTRAL center of water supply and pollution discharge.

Mayor of Jieyang City Chen Dong led a delegation to visit German Embassy in Chinaand had a deep discussion with German Ambassador to China, head of the Embassy's Economic Section Dr. Michael Schaefer, on the cooperation of Sino-German Metal Eco City.

A delegation consisting of over eleven German entrepreneurs led by Rudolf Scharping visited Jieyang for discussing specific cooperation matters about Sino-German Metal Eco City.

Mayor of Jieyang City Chen Dong led a delegation to Germany, Austria and Spain for seeking for cooperation, and reached agreements on cooperation with a group of enterprises. Besides, the Metal Enterprises Union of Jieyang set up European representative office in in Munich, Germany.

Guangdong ZhongDeShuangyuan Education Investment Co., Ltd formed a delegation to visit Germany and reached an agreement on vocational training cooperation with the BFW of Confederation of German Trade Unions and it reached an agreement on cooperation in running schools with HochschuleDarmstadt University of Applied Sciences located in Hesse-Darmstadt.

Rudolf Scharping, former German Federal Minister of Defense, former Chairman of the Social Democratic Party, CEO of RSBK GmbH, together with Johannes Dell, chief executive directorof Albert Speer& Partner GmbH (AS&P), visited the Metal Enterprises Union of Jieyang for cooperation.

People's Government of Guangdong Province held an executive meeting about supporting the construction of Sino-German Metal Eco City, and later issued Official Reply of Supporting the Construction of Jieyang Metal Eco-City (No.110 in 2013, letter of People’s Government of Guangdong Province)

 

May, 2013

Secretary Hu Chunhua met with Philipp Missfelder, member of German Bundestag, foreign policy spokesman for the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag, chairman of the Junge Union. Later the MEUJ, Foundation for Family Business and Jieyang municipal government signed letter of intent to build Sino-German Innovational Platform for Metal Industry in Jieyang. Sino-German Innovational Platform for Metal Industry started construction.

Mayor of Jieyang City Chen Dong led a delegation to visit the German Embassy in Beijing, and had further communication with German Ambassador to China Dr. Michael Schaefer on Sino-German cooperation of Sino-German Metal Eco City, reaching a series of consensuses.

RSBK GmbH and the MEUJ further signed a cooperation agreement on Sino-German Metal Eco City. That month the MEUJ and Delegation of German Industry & Commerce signed a memorandum of understanding on Sino-German vocational education cooperation in Shanghai, and both sides would co-construct ZhongDe Industrial University.

Member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee and secretary of Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPC Hu Chunhua visited the Metal Enterprises Union of Jieyang, listened to the introduction of the planning of Sino-German Metal Eco City, highly appreciated the innovative operation mode that is guided by the government, led by the association, and operated by the market, and finally required speeding up the implement and promotion of the project.

 

February, 2013

The MEUJ and RSBK GmbH which was set up by Rudolf Scharping signed a strategic cooperation agreement. China South (Jieyang) Metal Eco City officially changed its name to Sino-German Metal Eco City, and the enterprise officially changed its name to ZhongDe Metal Group Co., Ltd. and its subsidiaries were set up one after another.

China South (Jieyang) Metal Eco City started construction, while South China (Jieyang) Metal Eco City Co., Ltd was founded with a registered capital of 200 million, and open recruit senior executives and professional talents around the whole country.

 

October, 2012

The MEUJ launched the metal industry investment fund with the raised fund of 1 billion RMB, and Jieyang Metal Industry Investment Management Co., Ltd was founded. Later in the month, Governor of Guangdong Province Zhu Xiaodan first visited the MEUJ for investigating the project of metal ecocity.

 

July, 2012

With the guidance and help of the municipal leaders of Jieyang, the entrepreneurs of the MEUJ decided to build a metal ecocity in Yujiao Town of Jiedong District after continuous discussion with experts in planning, design and environmental impact assessment.

The Metal Enterprises Union of Jieyang (the MEUJ) was co-established by Jieyang Metal Materials Association, Jieyang Hardware Chamber of Commerce, Jieyang Stainless Steel Products Association and JieyangRongcheng Iron and Steel Industry Association, with 710 enterprises members.
